RARE Range Rover Classic Lamp Guard Set Rear RTC8143
These are not old and rusted lamp guards by Land Rover from the 1980s rather they are manufactured by Bearmach UK, a company which anyone with a remote interest in Land Rover and Range Rovers were the "go to" company if you wanted a set of bull bars for your 4x4. Sadly this Wales-based company has now ceased trading. Do not confuse it with Britpart as Bearmach really did sell good quality parts. Rather than being forty years old and barely serviceable, I would imagine these are less than twenty-five years old and probably from the last batch that Bearmach had manufactured.
However I know my stuff and I bought these specifically in that knowledge as Land Rover changed their lamp guards circa 1990 to an inferior design t had unevenly-spaced slats and these just did not look as happy as design. Even though they never ventured off the Californian Highways, a lot of Range Rover supplied in North America were fitted with these macho lamp guards and bullbars, and it was a picture of a Beluga Black County SE model replete with 7-slat rear lamp guards and CSK type 5-spoke alloy wheels and tinted windows from when I was boy of about 10 years old that convinced me that this was the ULTIMATE look for a Range Rover Classic! With the benefit of knowledge of the shortcomings of the original Land Rover design, these Bearmach Manufactured in the UK lamp guards are a superior design in terms of fitting and durability. These have been stored carefully in my father's attic for getting on for two decades and they are still in absolutely superb and ready-to-fit condition and suitable for the discerning Range Rover restorer. So I will err on the side of very lightly used but in superb condition and requiring no cosmetic re-fettling.You will not be needing to do any sanding and getting out a rattle can of satin black! Even brand new stock genuine Accessory items would never have flawless powder coating as hey they were made in Britain, enough said! All fixing brackets are present and correct. If you have always loved the extra ruggedness and macho prowess that lamp guards afford the design icon Range Rover Classic, then these are a snooze and you lose item as you won't find any as smart looking and in this superb condition again in a hurry.
