And driven overland to Singapore. While in Australia the 3.5 was swapped for a leyland P76 4.4L V8. I found it in a barn in Central Otago 3 years ago missing its engine and interiour. Really good solid bones, flys through its 6 monthly Warrant Of Fitness checks. Has the original optional powersteering box The front seats are original Kit-Kat palomino with covers due to the PVC being cracked and broken. I have not done a restoration on this, rather just tided up and replaced the missing parts. It's a wonderfully comfortable daily driver and long distance exploration machine. I have taken it all round New Zealand, into some off the beaten track places and its has never let me down. As the original motor was long gone, I have installed a 3.9 V8 and radiator from a 1996 discovery, with a stage three Auckland cam, timbing chain + gears, lifters and new matching valve springs. It also had a Holley Quick Fuel 4bbl 450cfm vac secondary carb, Edelbrock intake manifold and extractors/headers.

The vehicle was sound deadend with Dynamat, underlay and new carpet. It looks as if the vehicle has has a re-paint in the past as this has come off in places revealing the original paint below.
